Top holiday beauty tips for traveling this Christmas

As the allure of the festive season draws near, I know we all feel the urge to escape and get away for Christmas. This is not only irresistible but has actually become some people's most cherished holiday tradition. Imagine getting away from the madness this time of year. Good bye traffic and busy supermarkets and department stores; hello, nice calm and serenity of a break.

This is one time of year that offers an escape from the daily grind and an opportunity to immerse in the celebrations of the festive period.

Amidst all the excitement and party fun an important aspect we all tend to neglect is offen our beauty routine, which can cause several challenges because we are not only battling the normal issue but the varying temperatures that can have a dehydrating effect on the health of the skin. Which can make matters worse.

So we all need to adopt a new travel friendly beauty and makeup routine. It need to be centered around good product like plant based ones. These are not a luxury but a necessity to ensure you maintain a festive look on the go throughout your vacation duration. remember your summer look is made in winter so we need to remember to look after our self all year round.

Carry the shampoo and conditioner that you need

Do not count on the complimentary bottles in the hotel’s bathroom or any other product while you are traveling because they won’t be of any help to address your individual needs. Believe me I have done this and regretted it. You can cause a lot of damage with just a few days of the wrong product.

A great alternative to a big bottle of shampoo, carry a travel sized volumizing shampoo to maintain a full-bodied head of hair this will help you get volume for your festive looks.

In between washes, You can use a dry shampoo to absorb any excess oil and moisture. Consider one with rice flour which is a good absorbent and allows you to go days without any styling and giving your hair a rest. Plus it will last for months and will not burst open and spill in your suitcase. Which is a big win.

Embrace facial cleansers

When traveling to a new destination to spend the Christmas holidays it is really important that you need to transition to a new environment by easing into the new place. As it can impact your hair and skin and make it prone to breakouts, acne, clogged pores and more. No one wants that.

Consider using a gentle cleanser twice a day to get rid of the excess oil, dirt, sweat or any other impurities from the skin, without stripping away the essential oils.

Select a travel-friendly cleanser that is suitable for your skin type and contains niacinamide, a form of Vitamin B3, that is best against acne, dark spots and pigmentation issues.

Holiday-proof your hair

People normally believe that having a haircut after the holiday is better than before. That said, once the hair is dried, it will be full of dead ends and the sun may cause even more damage and leave it brittle and prone to breakage.

So the best idea, according to experts, is to cut your hair beforehand to protect it from damage due to the salt water or other harsh elements.

While on the holiday, put on a hair mask for added sun protection. Use only oil-based products to keep the hair strong, shiny and full of body.

After washing, finish it up with cold water in order to stimulate the hair follicles. In fact, the colder the water, the better it is for the hair, just like collagen. I know this will take some adjusting but give it a go.

At the end of your journey, brush your teeth, change into fresh clothes, apply your fave deodorant and scent the one that will make you reset and prepare you for the next step of the trip. You got this!
