Rabanne Fame My Review of Paco Rabanne's Iconic Fragrance

After reviewing one of my favourites perfumes the other day Very Good Girl Glam. I thought it was time to introduce you to one of my other favourites Rabanne Fame. This is completely different to the other one in so many ways and I think that is why it has been one of my go-to these last few months.

I love scents. I think they play a big part in your outfit and the way you feel. I think they can get overlooked when you are thinking about beauty and fashion but they play such a vital role. You might not remember what your friend was wearing but you will remember if she smelt amazing.

Now I will be honest when I got this I wasn't sure I would like it. Normally a product with the words jasmine, rose and cream is just not my vibe whats so every bit I had heard and read so many reviews I had to give it ago. I am so thankful I did.

With the holidays around the corner I know can you even believe it! This is the perfect time to talk about fragrances especially the higher prices one that make perfect gifts. If like me you can't stop saying fame by paco rabanne you are in good company. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with all the industry changes, isn't it?

Rabanne Fame bottle

What is Rabanne Fame?

Fame is Rabanne’s playful take on a modern, feminine fragrance. If you’re a fan of perfumes that turn heads, this one’s for you. This stands out with that funky, fashionable lead bottle. it’s like a little piece of runway glamour for your collection But we’re here for the smell and well a little bit for the art of the bottle too. The bottle is meant to represent Rabannes most iconic codes with an avant-grade style This bottle is meant to be as coveted as the 1969 bag is.

Rabanne Perfumes are known to be next-level luxury and their perfumery skills are world-renowned. I know we all automatically think of Lady Millions or Million gold with the beautiful Gigi Hadid draped over the bottle.

Scent Profile

  • Top Notes: It opens with a burst of mango straight away, giving a fresh, fruity start. It’s juicy, sweet, and light.
  • Middle Notes: The heart of the fragrance is where the floral elegance with Jasmine and rose blend together for that classic feminine touch. I am sure i get patchouli in there too
  • Base Notes: The dry down introduces sandalwood and vanilla, leaving you with a warm, cosy finish that stays with you for hours. It’s not overpowering but leaves a lasting impression.

Performance & Longevity

In terms of staying power, Fame by Rabanne does the job. I’ve worn it from morning through evening and still caught waves of it by bedtime. This is one you don't need to spray too much for a lot of payoff this is a strong one. The longevity is impressive for an eau de parfum. It doesn’t fade quickly, and the warm base notes keep it grounded throughout the day. This is a mature more sensual alluring scent which clings to your skin. It is designed to come together in a bold yet inviting way. It is just gorgeous.

When to Wear It

It’s a versatile scent that works year-round for me, but I think it really works best in the winter months when those warm, comforting notes feel like a perfect match. Its just a bit more is cosy wintery feeling fragrance.

Whether you’re heading out for a night with friends or just want to feel a bit more glam during the day, I feel like one spritz of Fame and you are teleported in to some wonderful elegant party where opulence is key.

Price

At around £85-£100 for a 50ml bottle, Fame sits in the luxury category. Yes, it’s an investment, but you won’t need to reapply throughout the day, so a bottle will last you ages. But this is a luxury item and it comes with the price to match.

But the bottle is refillable So, if you're thinking about eco-friendly options, you’ll love this feature.

My Thoughts

I have to say when I first heard the hype on this one I was a little unsure if it was for me. I had worried about the fact that it might be too warm verging on the musky side for me. But I was really surprised with this wonderfully original intense warmth that this new fragrance has.

It is unlike anything I have ever owned before. It has inspired me to come out of my fragrance comfort zone and not get put off by some notes in fragrances I don't particularly like. I am entering a new era people may need to be less safe and more receptive era.

This has had so many compliments when I wear it. I think this one has a feminine but masculine feel to it. It just creates a feeling of confidence and power. It is noticeable from the first application and it stays put. I am not saying this one is for everyone it has a real difference about it. But for me, it is a rich opulent indulgence.

Overall, if you love fruity-floral perfumes with a warm, creamy finish, Rabanne Fame is a winner. It’s playful, glamorous, and sophisticated all at once. Perfect for those who like their fragrance to make a statement but still feel wearable daily. Definitely give this one a try if you’re looking for something fun yet elegant for your collection

It’s also a fantastic gift idea, especially with the stunning, refillable bottle. The right blend of style and aroma.
