A Budget-Friendly Honeymoon trip to Greece with Thrillophilia

I recently got married and was looking for a budget-friendly yet beautiful destination for my honeymoon. Initially, my wife and I were planning a trip to Santorini, which seemed like an affordable option. However, one day I saw an advertisement for the Greece honeymoon package by Thrillophilia. It immediately caught my attention, and I was amazed to see the mentioned price on it.

Intrigued by the advertisement, I went on Google and searched about Thrillophilia. On the site, I searched for Greece tour packages suitable for couples. Surprisingly, there were more than a dozen tour packages for Greece, some of which were close to our budget for Santorini. Honestly, I never imagined that a trip to Greece for two could come under my budget.

At first, this company and its tour packages seemed too good to be true. I wanted to double-check everything before finalizing anything. I started by learning more in detail about the company online. Then I checked out the Greece reviews of Thrillophilia on the site. The reviews were genuinely convincing, where people shared their honest opinions. Along with thousands of positive comments, there were many pictures shared by the travelers. After reading the reviews, I gained a little more confidence and trust in this website.

My next step was to get in touch with a representative of the company to know if there were any hidden charges. After dropping an inquiry on the site, I received a call from an agent the very next day. I confirmed the details of the itinerary and overall cost of the package. He patiently explained to me the entire process and answered all my queries.

One small thing that I would like to mention is that the agent of the company was really good at his job. While talking to him, it felt like I was talking to a friend rather than an agent of a company. This was truly a bonus point that made me trust the site even more.

After a discussion and planning of 3-4 days, I confirmed the ‘Greece Private Package’ for 7 days and 6 nights. We were extremely excited and happy that we could grab such an amazing deal like this, especially for our honeymoon.

The most memorable trip of our lives…

Our trip started from Athens International Airport, where we arrived around 12-1 PM in the afternoon. The company sent us a driver who was already waiting for us outside the airport. It was easy to identify him as he was holding a board with our names on it. He gave us a very warm welcome, handed us a rose bouquet, and congratulated us on our wedding. From the airport, we went straight to our pre-booked hotel.

I had specifically asked for a deluxe room and requested if there could be any decorations. Due to all the planning and traveling, it even slipped my mind that I made such a request while I was talking to the agent. Luckily, the agent remembered it and he did his part. Both of us were surprised when we entered our room. The bed was beautifully decorated with rose petals. There was a chocolate basket and refreshing drinks on the table. Right behind the bedhead, there was a huge balloon decoration that said, ‘Happy Wedding’. It was a very sweet gesture that instantly made me realize that I made the right choice with Thrillophilia.

Our tour started in the evening after we had our lunch. We began by visiting the Acropolis, an extremely soothing and serene location. It is a great place for anyone who wishes to learn in-depth about Greek history and culture. Next, we went to the Parthenon, which stands as a ruin now. At night, we explored the local Plaka neighbourhood, where we purchased a few items to gift each other.

The next morning, we woke up with a beautiful view of the Acropolis from our window. After a delicious breakfast, our driver picked us up from our hotel. We reached the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, which was breathtakingly beautiful. Throughout the day, we visited popular attractions like the Ancient Agora, the Temple of Hephaestus, and the National Archaeological Museum. We also visited the famous locations where various historical events took place.

On day 3, we were going to visit the much-awaited location, Santorini. We left early from our hotel as it was going to be a long day. Before reaching Santorini, we made a stop at the picturesque town of Oia. Then we finally arrived at the stunning island of Santorini. The beauty of this place is something that I can never express in words. Here, we enjoyed a romantic sunset view and explored the charming villages. At night, we enjoyed a candlelight dinner with a view of the caldera, making it the most memorable moment of my life, which I am glad I got to share with my wife.

The next day our driver drove us to the beautiful island of Mykonos from Santorini. Mykonos is one of the most popular attractions in Greece. Apart from its mesmerizing beauty, it is also known for its vibrant nightlife. We spent the rest of the day exploring the place and taking lots of pictures. At night, we checked in at a cosy boutique hotel near the beach.

Our itinerary included a transfer from Mykonos to Athens on day 5. We first made a stop at the historic site of Delos, one of the most important mythological and archaeological sites in Greece. To enjoy a cup of coffee and some snacks, we went to a nearby café. After that, we visited more places like Little Venice and the Mykonos Windmills. After a day full of travelling, our driver dropped us off at our hotel where we checked in and ordered a simple meal for our dinner in the room.

On day 6, we traveled to the picturesque town of Nafplio from where we could witness the stunning views of the Palamidi Fortress. The main activity of that day was to enjoy a traditional ‘Greek Lunch’ with a local family. The family welcomed us into their 200-year-old house and took proper care of us. It was a delicious meal and I truly enjoyed the time I spent there. In the evening, we went to Syntagma Square and spent some peaceful time together, admiring the gorgeous views.

On day 7, we packed our bags and went down to have our breakfast. We checked out of our hotel and thanked everyone for their hospitality and great service. Our driver picked us up from the hotel and dropped us off at the airport.

A huge thanks to Thrillophilia

Planning a trip to my dream destination, Greece, was something I thought would happen once I had sufficient savings or when I was around 40 years of age. Thrillophilia made this happen on a very special occasion in my life. I am writing this Thrillophilia review on Facebook as a gesture of appreciation and gratitude towards this company.

This was undoubtedly the best trip of my life and I will cherish it forever. Eventually, I did end up spending a little more than my decided budget, but it was all worth it. The trip was beautifully planned and carried out well. A huge thanks to the agent of the company that I connected with, as well as the driver, for providing us with their valuable service. I cannot wait to plan my next trip with Thrillophilia.
