Well, this week has been a quick one for me it feels like I was just writing the last update if I am honest. I am so happy we are at the end of January and moving closer to spring. So let's get into this week's Project 365
Monday
a busy day writing and updating blog stuff. So I spent most of my time sitting behind a desk. Until my husband got home from work and we decided to get the van ready to head away for a few days. I have a big mountain biking campaign to shoot and the weather in this area has been awful. I noticed Millie's dog had a sore eye so I booked her in to the vet tomorrow.
Tuesday
Slower day today as we planned to head off in the van but the only appointment I could get at the vet was 330pm. The vet is an hour's drive from here. So we had a quiet morning. Did some Zwfting online turbo training and headed off to the vets.
Millie has a little ulcer on her eye so eye drops and some other cream for it. We also spoke about her being scared of the wind and they gave us something to try so she doesn't get as frighted.
We headed to Laggan to camp for the night via our favourite diner in Newtonmore the Newtonemore Grill. It just just a little truckers' cafe but it does the best food and the staff is so friendly and kind. We always try to head there when we are in the area.
Wednesday
We spent the day driving to different locations to try and find a little dry spot to do the filming. This took all day. A mountain biker's life right, Never actually got much riding in but that wasn't the point of the trip so glass to have finally got something.
We took the dogs for a walk and found the funniest thing in Laggan. Someone has put this stand up to take photos with your phone. It is new and I will show you the view you get with it.
This really made me laugh the trees are not new they have been there for years and there are so many beautiful views further along this trail. So what do you think is worth the placement of the phone stand?
Thurday
The weather came in harder than we expected and I wasn't feeling the best so we headed home. Which was a long drive via the supermarket of course. I did get to see laggan dame on full release which I don't think i have ever seen.
It was Rabbie Burns Day so we stopped in at M&S to grab some haggis to celebrate. It was delicious i love haggis.
Friday
Nothing too exciting on Friday just more training on Zwift and then blog work. Lot of editing to be done for all the content we filmed this week and lots of content and trip planning for this year.
Saturday
I was really struggling this morning with feeling poorly so I had a bit of a lazy morning just edited some Instagram reels and did research into what to do posting-wise. Instagram has been glitching lately and it's a bit frustrating for a content-creator life, right? Spoke to some of my lovely blogger and Instagram friends and apparently there has been another big update.
Sunday
Today when I write this is a rest day for me I am so poorly. I think I have flu coming on which is a lovely way to start next week. We had just taken the dog out for a swim but it was a bit windy so they had to put their little ruffwear floatys on. Mylo loves to surf in the waves so it is her favourite time to go to the loch. Time for a nice brunch and rest.
Weekly miles cycled this week 116 slowly trying to get back up in mileage whilst also listening to my body.
laggan dame looks beautiful, such a shame the weather was bad for you. Hope Millie's eye is better and that you enjoyed Burn's night
ReplyDeleteI am glad we're at the end of January too!
ReplyDeleteAww! Poor Millie. I hope the eye drops and cream help.
How lovely to just pack up the van and get away. That camera stand is such a fantastic idea.
I hope you feel better soon. x
Hope you're feeling better soon. There's so many people feeling rough at the moment. How cool to see the dam. I've never seen one like that before.
ReplyDeleteWe found a similar photo spot in Australia with a QR code to upload your photo to for coastal erosion. I'm taking a photo each month of a particular tree near us to document the changes through the season it would be handy to be able to take it from exactly the same place each time, maybe that's why it's been set up. Do let us know if you find out why.
ReplyDeleteWhat an odd photo op spot! There are so many better views there that they could have picked. I don't think I have ever seen Laggen dam on full release, looks amazing though x
ReplyDeleteHope the ulcer on Millie’s eye healed quickly. That photo post made me chuckle – there are definitely much better views to be had in the Cairngorms! Sorry to hear that you were feeling poorly at the end of the week, hope you are feeling much better now. #project365
