I am truly sick and tired of this weather. I have never seen a summer like this up here in the Highlands. Since I came back from Canada we have not had any sun. We have had the odd dry day but that is it? If you have the Scottish Highland sun can you please return it to us. I feel so bad every time I see a visitor to the area. Normally they are wearing summer shorts and what can only be described as a tent wrapped around them. Not quite the summer holiday they had planned I guess.
This is my all-time favourite time of year to order tops that are multi-functional. Ok that sounds boring and these tops are not. You see I am a great believer in tops or t-shirts that can transcend the season as you just read being a Highlander we live in the in-between a lot more than most. Our winters are longer and our summers appear to be stolen. The strange thing is the temperature up here. Some days we are still hitting 20 with a hoolie blowing. We, Scots are known to call weather by our clothing. For example, we will say it's a big jacket day. But the weather just now is long-sleeve top weather. So you know I needed to order something new and so I did.
My order from Lands'End has arrived and I am over the moon. But before I share let me talk about my size and shape. I am a UK 6/8 I am 5ft6 I am an hourglass shape. I am an athlete I cycle between 100 to 150 miles a week and along with other training. I am a 28E.
I like everyone have flaws and insecurities. My body is far from perfect. I have lost a lot of weight to be this size having been a UK 24 in the past. So inclusivity in sizing is really important to me. So when I talk about such things I think I am in good standing. I like to share my size so you can gauge the size you would need for yourself. I do not share it to be boastful. I am not like that and that is why I like to share my journey with you all so you know I am not like that. I think we are all gorgeous and should have more confidence in ourselves. I have no make-up on in these photos as my skin is having a break from it and I don't care. Confidence is what I am aiming for.
First Up we have
This gorgeous Women's Velour Sweatshirt is in fushia pink. Ok, I am a bit pink-obsessed there I said it. I got this in a size XS UK8 and I think the fit is spot on. This one comes in an XS UK 8 to UK 20-22. It comes in regular length and in a petite size too I have regular. It comes in five colours. But we all know the bright pink is my kinda of wonderful. It has waistband splits which I love.
Oh my god, I am obsessed. I love this top. I have been wearing it to death. It is so soft, comfy and oversized. Perfect for lounge days I have dressed it up with a nice pair of jeans or shorts and worn it out. I have had so many compliments. It is the era of Barbie after all. I am living my 90's Barbie dreams. I mean I remember Valour the first time around and to be honest I kind of forgot how comfy and soft it is. It gives me nostalgia in all the right ways. Style it up or down you won't regret this one.
