So why do we need extra protein when we train?
The quick protein is really important in the body process of repair and recovery of our muscles. with the added benefit of it being fantastic for our nails and hair. I have a full post on my other site Mtblm which is more detailed.
The lovely people at TRR Nutrition have sent me two of there protein powders to try. I am actually sat here drinking the core whey isolate as I write this.
TRR Nutrition is a fantastic brand who specialise in nutrition. They stock everything from Protein powder to liquid collagen. TRR Nutrition was designed for athletes and if you click their link the first thing you are greeted with is Andy Murray. Well if TRR is good enough for this national hero. I think it is more than good enough for me. The more I read about the brand the more I realise They really care about there product and spend a lot of time and effort researching and consulting Doctors to really have the best possible products. They have just expanded their range with three nutrition boosting protein powders. These protein powders have been specifically designed to help build muscle mass. So when they reached out you know I jumped at the chance to try these.
Core Whey Isolate
The first one I tried was Core whey Isolate £29.99 for 1KG in chocolate flavour. It also comes in vanilla. This one is suitable for vegetarians but not vegans. Don't worry if you are vegan they have a vegan range just for you. This has 20g of protein per shake. I make mine with 300ml of oat milk Oatly barista version because this is, in my opinion, the best oat milk. Core whey isolate comes with a handy measuring scoop so you never add too much to your drink. Per serving this has 92 calories. Mine will be more due to the oat milk your can make this with water but I prefer it like this. It tastes super creamy and delicious. I find it really helps to fight off the hunger pangs too.
