I have a really embarrassing secret. I have never been to Liverpool. I know what you are thinking how on earth have you never been to Liverpool before. I have always wanted to go but things got in the way. Well guess what I am planning a trip to The bright light and I am super excited. Liverpool is one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the UK.
First things, first I am hopping on over to liverpool-one.com to find out what to do. If you have been following my blog for a while you will know I love maritime museums and Liverpool has one of the best in the UK The Merseyside Maritime Museum. If I am honest this is what really pushed me to make the trip to Liverpool. I can not wait to see the world famous Albert Docks. It houses so many artefacts lifejackets from the Titanic to a full-sized vessel the Edmund Gardner. what is not to love there.
Ok, so I think That will be my morning completely full. I can spend hours in a museum. Yes I know I am a geek. Next Up a walk around Albert dock and go have a look at the port of Liverpool building and it's sister building which has had a refurbishment in 2001 and is now standing in there original glory. They were damaged in the blitz. It is stunning.
After a quick coffee in one of Liverpool hundreds of coffee shops. It is on to my hubby choice for the day. The Beatles story. Since he was little, he has grown up listening to the Beatles. Let be honest no trip to Liverpool would be the same without visiting their museum to Liverpool famous sons. This is one of the most interactive museums in the country and I am super excited to see it.
So I am guessing we will be a bit overwhelmed with information. There is only one thing for it. Retail therapy. You know I have to hit Liverpool one. There really is every shop I love in this complex from victoria secrets to Harvey Nichols it has it all. Well, it would be rude to not check out the shops right. I mean for research for you all right?
It is time to head to the hotel and shower and get ready for the night. it's back to the terrace at Liverpool one for some food and drinks. I can not wait to see Liverpool. It is definitely another one to tick off my bucket list.
