How are you all?
It has been very cold few weeks with us here and that gets me in one mood. It's time to book more flights.
I have been looking at my bucket list of destinations and I can't seem to go past Malaysia. So first things, first I need a Malaysia airlines flight ticket.
I am thinking to make the most of the time we have, a multicentre would be the best options. A couple of flights it is then. I love the colours of Malaysia and it has really interesting culture and history. I would love to learn more about this fascinating country.
I think three to four nights in Kuala Lumpur and then a beach break for 10 nights. At least that is my first thought. Last year was crazy and I know I need to recharge my batteries But I also know I will love Kuala Lumpur.
Ever since I seen the film Entrapment with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Sean Connery. I knew I had to travel to this amazing country. I was completely obsessed with the film.
If you haven't seen the film it's about this Kick ass investigator (zeta jones) who tries to catch the master thief (Connery). Connery's character is suspected of stealing a priceless Rembrandt painting.
Zeta-jones character propositions Connery with a plan to steal a priceless Chinese mask. All the while zeta-Jone is trying to inform on Connery. They go on to the big plan heist, to Steal from the international clearance bank which is housed in Kuala Lumpur Petronas Towers.
This is where I first set my eyes on Kuala Lumpur and fell head over heels in love. It's funny that films can have such an impact or our life's but this started my interest in Malaysia. You will need to watch the film for the full story and to see why I fell in love.
I know when I am in Kuala Lumpur, I will want to do lots of things. I really need to find the cheapest flights online to get me there and then I can splurge on our hotels.
Things I want to do or see.
- Petronas Twin Towers- no surprise here I guess but these are mesmerising.
- Batu Caves- tours leave from Kuala Lumpur. These are bucket list items on there own.
- KLCC Park- a stunning park with a water fountain show at night.
- Kuala Lumpur Bird Park - one of the best in the world.
- Lake Symphony- water show every hour. beautiful water fountains with lights and music.
- Sultan Abdul Samad Building- You know I love culture and architecture.
- Royal Selangor Visitor Centre
- Thean Hou Temple
- Jalan Masjid India- a market with cheap clothes etc.
- Kuala Lumper food tour- you all know I love my food.
I think I may have to stay in Kuala Lumpur Longer as That seems a lot to try to fit in in four days. especially when the Batu Caves is a day trip in its self. As you will know when I go to museums, I like to read everything so I don't want to be rushing around and miss anything.
Then there is The beach part I want a nice hotel with plenty amenities where we can relax, Maybe snorkel, eat amazing food and relax. A spa would be a must for a couple massages and pampering. A quick search and I am overwhelmed with the choice. Have you been to Malaysia? Where do you Recommend?
I work from home and see my husband a lot but We need quality time together. I would love to find something new for us to experience when we are at the beach side of things like a rainforest tour or a hike.
So much planning to do and so little time.
